Whether you're expecting your first baby, adding another one to the family, or already one big happy family wanting to document your current season, I see it all as just family. I want to invite you to think about how you enjoy spending time with your loved ones. Is that at home cuddling on the couch or cooking/baking? Is that out in nature? Is it strolling through downtown? Walking on the beach? Regardless of what it is, I want to let you know that you can absolutely document your time in that way.
It can be as simple or as extravagant as you want it to be. They are your images. We have been set to believe that updating photos are to be straight forward. But I believe that the best experience and the best results (especially with kids) are the ones that involve you being in your element! Here are some ways that we can document your season.
We can tend to want to skip maternity sessions because we are not feeling the best, or we feel that it is not a session worth doing. I am here to tell you that they are absolutely worth it. Why? Because it is a season of life we can look back on and remember the moments, rather than just a picture. With an interactive session, we can create those memories that you want to remember.
New life, there's nothing like it. Whether this is your first, your last, or somewhere in-between. It's a season of life worth documenting. Learn how, with a collaborative approach, we can create the newborn session of your dreams.
As a family, the seasons are constantly changing, our little ones grow year by year, their looks change, and their personalities grow. A family session photo experience is more than just updated photos, it's about documenting your authentic selves in this particular season. Let's remember how much fun as a family you had at your session rather than just an updated family portrait.
A 1-minute video clip taken with a camcorder during your session. A perfect keepsake to have and hold. Included in the Homebody session package, and can be added on to the outdoor golden hour session.
A pack of 5 wide polaroids taken at your session. These will be scanned into your digital gallery, and then mailed to you after.
A real-life film edit to 10 of your digital photos. You pick, and receive the film edits a few days after gallery delivery. A mix of different film scan lines, and grain.
While most clients I serve are local to Jacksonville, Fl- I am willing to travel up to 2 hours for an additional travel fee of $50 per hour!
This is a great question and an important one. My approach to sessions are very documentary. I like to artfully prompt and pose my families with movement. Don't get me wrong, sometimes a part of documentary sessions are looking at the camera and smiling because that is a natural thing to do, but most sessions are spent hanging out with your loved ones, cuddling and playing with one another, and really allowing the kids to lead the way. Especially if you have young littles, you will be highly disappointed if you have high expectations of them standing still and smiling at the camera. This creates a lot of stress on mama. Being in this season of having young ones, my approach takes the stress off and creates beautiful memories that are genuine to the season and the moments. If posed family images are what you're looking for, we may not be a good fit.
I do offer heavy styling assistance and guidance if wanted! I recommend booking enough in advance so that we can talk about your vision and styling the family. Location/wardrobe/planning all play a big role and heavily rely upon another in the outcome of your final images. But don't stress, I am here along the way to help with it all!
Absolutely! In fact, I strongly encourage it. It really brings out the natural emotions, and comfortability of the session. Love ice cream? Let's have your session at an ice cream shop. Love playing sports? Let's have your session on a field and play soccer or football. Just love being at the beach? Let's have your session at the beach! Just want a relaxed session at any location or at home? I am all about artfully documenting your family, and if you have a vision for your session, we will make it happen!
Yes, if the family dog responds well to others in public, and the location allows for them, you can absolutely bring your dog. I recommend bringing another person who won't be involved in the session to help watch the dog if you want images without them.
